You might be wondering what an All in One Cooker does at all. Maybe you’re imagining some fantastical contraption out of Willy Wonka. Fortunately, this product is even more awesome.

It won’t vacuum your home, or make you coffee, but it can basically, do nearly anything else you might want it to. An all in one cooker is truly the best of both worlds.

If you like slow cooking, it’s the product for you, if you like pressure cooking it’s the product for you. If you want to fry up some grub or steam some veggies, an all in one cooker can do that as well.

  • EFFICIENT DESIGN; Pressure cook, slow cook or multi cook at the touch of a button

Basically, an All in One Cooker is the solution to every kitchen problem, and its massive 6-litre capacity means it can handle even the biggest family.

The Philips All in One Cooker might just be the solution to all these cooking hassles that you’ve been looking for. This thing can help you bake a cake and fry up some pulled pork, in the same day if you want.

Like many Australians, you’ve probably been a bit pressed for time lately, between work and the kids and finding a few minutes for yourself every now and again.

This could be what you’re looking for if time is of the essence.

Philips All In One Cooker Price

How much does it cost? Depends where you shop, but generally speaking the Philips All in One Cooker might set you back around $150 - $300.

We get it, that’s a lot but think about all the other appliances you might have in your home.

A slow cooker might set you back $100, a fryer about the same. Then there’s a pressure cooker or steamer, these things add up. If you’re looking to drastically simplify your kitchen, check this puppy out.

Philips All in One Cooker Features

That’s the cost, and it’s probably the most important thing you’re considering. Next, you want to know what it does. Thankfully this isn’t just a fancy pot. This cooker has a number of special features.

On the simpler side of things, it has a nice big digital display, which is great. I’ve got a grill at home and it can get a bit confusing knowing when things are done or not.

This isn’t a problem with the Philips All in One Cooker.

One thing that is important with a slow cooker, and especially a pressure cooker, is safety.

You might be leaving this thing on for hours and if you pop out to grab some milk, you don’t want to return to a house that’s burned down.

That’s why this cooker has an automatic pressure release device, as well as 9 times the safety precautions of a regular cooker.

So when you leave the food on the warm setting, you can do so without worrying that something might go wrong.

They’ve also made this easy to clean, which is a giant load off for anyone who’s made a stew before.

The device is made of a non-stick alloy, and the inner lid comes out so you could just whack it in the dishwasher.

And as we stated before this puppy does it all. It pressure cooks, multi cooks, fries all in the one package.

If you’re someone who doesn’t much enjoy cooking and just wants to press a button and go, the all in one cooker is a great option.

Philips All in One Cooker Extras

At such a hefty price you’d hope there’d be some extras, and there are.

For starters, if you’re investing in a multi-cooker, there’s a decent chance you aren’t exactly a whizz in the kitchen. That’s okay because they chuck in a recipe book!

This recipe book contains over fifty recipes, meaning you could in theory experiment with a meal you haven’t tried before every week. And these recipes are doable on two of the different settings this product has.

If you’re looking for piece of mind, don’t worry. The Philips All in One Cooker comes with a two-year warranty. This warrant covers things like faulty parts and broken machines.

So no matter whether you’re in Australia or the rest of the world, you’ll at least get two years of worry-free use out this thing.

What settings does it have?

We’ve mentioned briefly that this thing has got quite an array of different ways to cook up your evening grub.

But what are they exactly?

For starters, you can slow cook. Basically, you put all the ingredients into the pot, set it, and as the saying goes, forget it.

This is great if you’re a busy person or have a big family. Slow cooking generally takes place around 75 to 90 degrees Celsius.

Next you can pressure cook. This is great for cooking rice or soup. This can also double as a steamer for your veggies as well. Generally speaking this takes anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes.

Lastly, you can also saute or seer you food. This takes place at a much hotter temperature and can have you enjoying your food in as little as 2 minutes. Not bad for a thing that’s partly marketed as a slow cooker.

Don’t feel limited by this product being marketed as the way a crock pot might. That would be woefully incorrect, as this baby wants to cook you dinner, and dessert.

Who doesn't love cake? Crazy people that’s who. But if you’re not crazy and you do want some cake you can bake with this thing too! Set it to 400 degrees and you can be enjoying a chocolate cake in 45 minutes.

Finally, if you’re a bit more health conscious or at least want to appear more health conscious, you can also make yogurt with the Philips all in one cooker.

Philips All in One Cooker Deluxe

Philips Premium Collection All In One Multi Cooker/Pressure Cooker/Slow Cooker with 2 Non-Stick Inner Pots, 6L, 1000W, HD2178/72
  • EFFICIENT DESIGN; Pressure cook, slow cook or multi cook at the touch of a button
  • ACCURATE TEMPERATURE CONTROL; Better cooking results with dual sensor for accurate temperature control
  • SAFE COOKING; Auto pressure release to ensure safety

There is one other option if you’re looking at the Philips, and that’s to go bigger and better, by picking up its deluxe version of this cooker.

It’s got the same massive 6-litre capacity, but now it looks like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey, with a futuristic matte black finish.

It’s biggest drawing card is its Dual Sensor function, which boasts that it can cook your food up to six times faster than a regular all in one cooker.

It also has a new cooking function that allows you to thicken any sauce you want. I’ve often found slow cooked food results in pretty thing sauces, so this is a real must for the gourmet's out there.

They’ve also doubled the safety precautions on this beast, whereas the regular Philips offered 9 times the safety precautions, the deluxe model offers 18!

They’ve also added a touch screen interface to the cooker as well, which could be good if you’re looking to really control how your slow cooker works.

Philips All in One Cooker Deluxe Price

Here’s the drawback to going with the Deluxe rather than the regular model, and it’s the price.

The regular All in One Cooker isn’t exactly cheap, the deluxe is even more pricey, so if avoiding costly appliances is something you’re worried about we’d recommend sticking with the regular model.

The recommended retail price on the deluxe is nearly double that of the regular model, making it prohibitively expensive for families on a budget.

However if money isn’t an issue for you and you’re looking for the next level in multi cooker technology (and want it to appear that way) then definitely give this one a look.
